What is a Yurt?
Yurts are traditional circular dwellings from central Asia that have been in use for thousands of years. The traditional yurt is decorated in colourful materials, handmade rugs and carpets. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter the yurt itself is supported with solid wooden trellis walls and has at its centre, a crown or Tono (ornate ‘roof wheel’) to further strengthen the structure. Covered with a thick, watertight covering the yurt keeps you dry and warm in any weather.
