Set in 20 acres of private, ancient woodland, in The Lake District National Park, overlooking the largest natural lake in England (Windermere) is the home of The Lovely Yurt Company.
Staying in a 'Lovely Yurt' is a magical experience. The roundness of the structure, the window to the starry sky through the crown, the wood burning stove to keep you warm and snug and the beautiful furnishings which create a sense of peace enhanced by the outside surroundings of woodland nature and animals.
Each yurt nestles in its own sunny, secluded clearing.Our 3 yurts are situated a short walk apart so that you cannot see one from another, allowing plenty of peace, privacy and freedom.
The natural resources of the woodland supply your basic needs from the stream fed hot shower to the solar powered lighting, keeping you in touch with nature without compromising on comfort.
The yurts are fully equipped with:
- A proper double bed (singles are high quality futons or similar) including bedding
- Low table and seating for dining
- Kitchen area with cooker (double hob and grill and free supply of gas), kettle, crockery and cutlery
- A ready built fire in the wood burning stove for you to light on arrival, plus a small supply of woodcoal & kindling & firelighters to get you going
- Chic and comfy furnishings
- Games, books, and information about walks and tourist attractions in the area
- Outdoor firepit / fire bowl with seating area
- Outdoor picnic area with bench seats
- Hammock (18ft yurt only)
