Leave the M6 at J42 and travel 5 miles on the B5299 from Dalston, south towards Welton.

Shortly after leaving Dalston there is a left hand turn, the road straightens and leads to a right hand turn.

Just on the sharp right bend take the road signposted Rose Castle and Raughton Head.

Thornfield Luxury Camping Pods are set in a picturesque setting between Carlisle and Caldbeck on the edge of the Lake District National Park. We are in close proximity to the Northern Fells.

Our camping pods provide high quality, affordable and warm year-round self catering accommodation with home from home comforts, in a tranquil rural setting.

A real back to nature holiday experience surrounded by woodlands, walks and extensive rural views.

4 types of pod available:

Fox & Badger - (large family pods) Max 2 adults or (2 adults and 3 x under 16's). (pet friendly)
Pheasant & Owl - (large family pods) Max 2 adults or (2 adults and 3 x under 16's). Third child free of charge. (pet free pods)
Deer & Squirrel - (standard pods) - Max 2 adults (pet friendly pods)
Stable - Standard Pod Max 2 persons - (bedding not included for 1 night only bookings. Pet free pod)
